artist, writer, TV and radio presenter, environmentalist

For any Moone Boy fans, you might be interested to know that Don will appear in Series 3 which will be aired in 2014. He was delighted to be involved with the very talented Chris O’Dowd and the rest of the crew.

Before working in RTE as a graphic designer and then presenter, Don used to act professionally – including in the Gate Theatre. It was through theatre that he met his wife, Gay, in a production of Playboy of the Western World – that Gabriel Byrne also acted in. Not many people might know that when Don was hired as as extra for the film The Big Red One starring Lee Marvin and Mark Hamill, Don was also Mark Hamill’s stand-in!

Don has a huge love of film and theatre and even though he works primarily as an artist and writer, he has cropped up now and again in various productions over the years including Roy and his son and son in law’s TV series, Fran.
